Personal:
A quick bio:

I was born in Michigan, though I spent most of my childhood in Germany (being an "Army Brat"). I attended high school at San Angelo Central High in San Angelo Texas. I've attended several colleges: Angelo State University, Tidewater Community College, Virginia, the University of Tennessee at Martin, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Louisiana Tech University. As you can tell, learning is my hobby. I so far have a B.A. in English, a M.S. in Information Science, and a M.A. in English. I also did a tour of duty in the Navy, where I graduated from Electrician's Mate School and the Naval Nuclear Power School. I was honorably discharged with the rank of First Class Petty Officer (EM1/E-6) in November 1988.

Besides Navy electrician and Navy nuclear engineering technician, I've worked as a departmental Web master for University of Tennessee, a Systems Librarian for Louisiana Tech, and Director of Integrated Technology for the Center For Applied Teaching and Learning to Yield Scientific Thinking (CATALyST). I am presently employed as an Instructor of English.

I have two great kids from a previous marriage: Alexander ("Alex") and Darcie. Alexander was born first, 7 march 1989. He took to computers with an uncanny ease and desires to be involved with creating video games. Darcie was born Friday the 13th, July 1990. An extrovert to Alex's introvert, Darcie is bright, talkative, expressive, and personable. She loves to read and write and I can just see her wining the Pulitzer Prize one day!

My hobbies include astronomy, drawing, reading, theater, writing and Web development. I have an online art gallery of a few of my drawings plus copies of some of the digital graphics I have created over the years. Some of my publications and Web projects are listed in my Résumé.
