Acknowledgements

A project of this size could not have been completed by one person alone. While I learned a lot about HTML by just jumping in and playing with it, I also learned from several great WWW tutorials on HTML (which I have linked in my bibliography) and from "sitting at the feet" of the knowledgeable people of the ADV-HTML and IE-HTML listservs.

Most of all, I would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Gretchen Whitney (of the School of Information Sciences (SIS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville), Ms. Dessa Beswick (Coordinator, Training and Staff Development at UT Libraries) and Ms. Anita Dotson (award winning artist and SIS alumni) for their invaluable help and encouragement. Dr. Whitney first introduced me to HTML in her "Net" class, from there Ms. Beswick took a chance on a HTML newbie and gave me many opportunities to learn and grow in web mastery. Ms Dotson patiently suffered my repeated requests for her perceptive layout and design advice. And to all three I deeply thank for their offers of much needed moral support, all above and beyond the call of duty, or of friendship. Without them, this project would never have really gotten anywhere.
