	INTERNATIONAL LARGE TRUCK SAFETY SYMPOSIUM

Hosted by: Transportation Center, The University of Tennessee Dr. Stephen H. Richards, Director		Co-Sponsored by: Oak Ridge National Laboratory Great Lakes Center for Truck and Transit Research Southeastern Transportation Center

The goal of this symposium is to provide a forum for the many stakeholders in truck safety, such as carriers, shippers, inspectors, law enforcement officials, highway officials, insurers, regulators, manufacturers, and researchers to network and discuss the key issues affecting large truck safety.

The symposium will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee, October 27-29, 1997. Papers and oral presentations are invited in areas including but not limited to those listed below:

Registration Information

• Symposium site is University of Tennessee Conference Center
• Registration fee is $325/person. After September 23, $375/person.
• Fee includes reception, lunches, and a copy of the 1997 symposium proceedings.
• The symposium hotels are:
  Knoxville Hilton @ $74/night, (423) 523-2300
  Holiday Inn Select @ $68/night, (423) 522-2800.
• A few government rate ($57) rooms are available in both hotels.
• Interested participants should check directly with the hotels for details and to make arrangements. Mention the symposium and code TRA.
