Installation

Minimum System Requirements

• 386 IBM-compatible PC
• 2 MB of RAM (4 MB recommended)
• Windows 3.1
• DOS 5.0
• 500 KB of free hard drive space.

Installation:

1. Download HTML Assistant 1.4. Place in the directory of your choice: C:\HTMLASST for example. HTML Assistant 1.4 can be found at
   • ftp://ftp.cs.dal.ca/htmlasst/inst14.exe 500K (includes VBRUN300.DLL)
   • ftp://ftp.cs.dal.ca/htmlasst/part14.exe 270K (does not include VBRUN300.DLL)

2. If in File Manager, go to the directory where you downloaded HTML Assistant and double click on "inst14.exe" or "part14.exe" depending on which file you download. Otherwise, go to File in Program Manager. Choose "Run." Type in "inst14.exe" or "part14.exe" and then click on the OK button. Alternately you can, at the DOS prompt, change to the directory the program has been placed in, and then, again at the DOS prompt, type in "inst14.exe" or "part14.exe".
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Double-click on the HTML Assistant icon (the yellow pencil icon), and your web page making adventure begins!
